Hey guys! Christine here! It’s crazy to think
we have been here for a month and a half now. It feels like it was just
yesterday I was sitting in my room in Toronto trying to decide what to pack.
It’s definitely been a very jam-packed, eventful month and a half. Some of my
highlights would be going to the Confederation Bridge to watch the sunset,
going to the beach, as well as spending time walking around downtown and
getting to know Charlottetown. My work placement is at the Canadian Red Cross,
and I absolutely love it because I always feel very respected and appreciated
and they make me feel like an important member of their team.
This experience has been great because I’m
getting to work on my French a lot more.
For all y’all who didn’t understand that, I
said that I took French in school for 8 years, from grade 4 to 11, but in grade
10 I started taking Spanish so I lost a lot of my French because the two languages
are so similar it’s easy to confuse them. I am trying to get my French back
though, and being around lots of people who are eager to help me is definitely
not a bad thing!
For those of you reading this who don’t know
me, I’m a singer/songwriter. Time for a little self-promotion, check me out on iTunes

Anyyyways, clearly I love music so I thought I’d do a little weekly segment to
let everyone know what music not only I’m listening to, but the whole house is
listening to. If I wanted to list every song we love blasting when we’re in the
kitchen doing dishes or cooking this post would go on forever, so I figured I’d
pick my top 5 and then 5 of the most popular songs in the house.
J'aime
Firstly for me/premierement pour moi:
Make You Feel My Love - Adele (Originally by
Bob Dylan)
Wild Ones – Flo Rida ft. Sia
Work Out - J Cole
Valerie (’68 version) - Amy Winehouse
Love On Top – Beyonce
For the house I’d have to say/pour la maison...
T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever) - will.i.am ft. Mick
Jagger and J.Lo
Good Feeling - Flo Rida
Stand Up – Ludacris
Sexy and I Know It – LMFAO
Anything by ABBA
Stick with me, it’s really hard to just pick 5
songs that are often playing in the house when we are blasting music all day
every day! Stay tuned for more of our music selections and for more updates
from me!
